Its inauguration has been long-awaited, ever since Fauchon expressed its desire to open up to the Parisian luxury hotel sector in 2016. The official opening has just been announced and is set for 1 September. On the corner of Place de la Madeleine and Boulevard Malesherbes, very close to the historic birthplace of the brand created in 1886, le Fauchon L'Hôtel Paris will offer 54 rooms, including 11 suites, managed by Esprit de France, a 49 % partner in the project. "Esprit de France brings its hotel expertise and Fauchon its world-famous brand. Guests will enjoy a true Fauchon experience, both in the Café and in the hotel, with Fauchon products in their rooms, at breakfast and on room service. And, of course, a touch of pink in the decor."explained Xavier Dupain, General Manager of Esprit de France, last year.
The decoration by Richard Martinet - who has worked at the Crillon and the Peninsula, among others - highlights the Haussmannian character of the building while combining quality, functionality and design. "Made-to-measure furniture and carpets, mouldings, herringbone parquet flooring, window doors and balconies in the purest Parisian style, luxurious bathrooms, etc."According to Fauchon, this is what guests will find when they arrive in their room.
But the hotel also offers tailor-made experiences, such as private boat trips on the Seine or private dinners with one of the hotel's chefs. Because, of course, the hotel also aims to be a gourmet stopoverThe hotel has also created a "gourmet bar", with the promise of reinventing the minibar as a "gourmet bar". The Jardin des Thés and the hotel's private dining room will offer a sweet escape or a savoury discovery over coffee or tea. With its terrace overlooking the square and a capacity of 150 covers, it aims to offer the best of French gastronomy throughout the day to tourists and Parisians alike. And, of course, to the many business people in the area at lunchtime.
