FCM Travel announced on October 7 the launch of FCM Proactive Analytics. The tool requires no connection, no request, and no manual extraction. It actually transmits its analyses by email to clients and their FCM Account Managers, on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. The goal is to spot small discrepancies before they become a burden on the budget. The business travel division of Flight Centre Travel Group, present in 95 countries, presents this launch as the second component of its data exploitation offering.
Until now, travel managers had to choose between self-service dashboards and periodic reports, which often point out a problem once the costs are incurred. FCM aims to eliminate this compromise. « A managed travel program is not just about bookings. It also means being able to rely on a partner who understands your business », believes Jessica Dunderdale, Global Head of Product at FCM Travel. She continues:« Proactive Analytics strengthens this relationship: our technology ensures monitoring so that our teams can focus on advising. For our clients, this means that their travel program is not only managed, but also subject to careful monitoring. ".
Hotel, air travel, connections: the first available analyses
At launch, the tool covers hotel spending per city, air costs and trends per airline, link performance and the concentration of spending per traveler. Thus, teams can act earlier on costs and compliance gaps. They also reduce the time spent on manual reporting and have ready-to-use analyses for management committees or program reviews. Furthermore, Proactive Analytics runs in FCM’s secure data environment. Client data is therefore never used to train third-party AI models. FCM also provides real-time alerts triggered by certain events.
Structured reporting in three modes, including one via MCP
FCM now organizes its offering in three modes. The FCM Platform dashboard offers benchmark and self-service reporting, with validated KPIs. Proactive monitoring corresponds to Proactive Analytics. Finally, the dialogue will be based on FCM MCP (Model Context Protocol), expected in the coming months. It will allow querying its data in natural language from its AI tools, using the same indicators. In the long term, FCM plans to bring these data closer to HR, sales, and expense management systems. The agency had already announced in August a conversational booking via its IA Sam, In Teams and Slack, before an extension to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
