SNCF and the Spanish rail operator Renfe have announced the restoration of high-speed links between France and Spain on 1 July. From that date, two trains a day will run in each direction from Paris and Marseille to Figueras, Girona and Barcelona. Other French cities served will include Valence, Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Nîmes, Montpellier, Sète, Agde, Béziers, Narbonne and Perpignan. Depending on demand, this range of trains between France and Spain could evolve over the coming months.
In order to restart these services in compliance with health requirements, the two rail operators who have been cooperating on this route for 24 years have put in place measures corresponding to the specific requirements of each country in terms of cleaning and disinfection protocols.
