According to the SITA/Air Transport World Passenger IT Trends Survey, two-thirds of the 58 million or so passengers at Frankfurt airport in 2013 regularly check in online, either at home or at the office. Also at the German hub, one passenger in five regularly uses a mobile boarding pass. These figures make Frankfurt airport the most 'connected' hub in the world, according to SITA. The rate of use of check-in kiosks (37%) is also well above the global average, according to figures collected from a sample of 2,489 passengers from over 70 countries.
