Obviously, not all companies will be interested in the information revealed today by the daily newspaper Le Parisien concerning the launch by the SNCF of the Happy Card. But young start-ups and companies with a certain number of employees under the age of 28 may find this new commercial offer of interest.

Reserved for 16-27 year olds, the Happy Card gives this age group unlimited access to TGV and Intercités trains for a monthly subscription of €79. This is a particularly attractive package when compared with the average price of a TGV journey, which is €48. However, this commercial offer is aimed more directly at young leisure travellers, who are now opting for alternatives to the train such as car-sharing or coaches, than at the latest generation of business executives. The seats available to Happy Card holders will be limited on trains running at peak times.

More details are expected from the company shortly, as Rachel Picard, CEO of Voyages SNCF, commented on Le Parisien's announcement with the following tweet: "Happy card by #sncf? Too good to be true? The real news at high speed on 25 January!"
