Airport Express in Hong Kong reopens its city check-in service

Hong Kong station will reopen for baggage check-in from 5 July, according to Bloomberg. This facility offered to all passengers had been closed since 2020.

Travellers departing from Hong Kong can once again drop off their luggage in town rather than at the airport. Good news for passengers with the reopening of theAirport Express in Hong Kong the 5 July next.

The information was given at the beginning of the week by the American news agency Bloomberg. This service for airport passengers had been suspended in April 2020 with the Covid crisis.

Three stations in the city previously offered baggage check-in desks : Hong Kong station, Kowloon station and Tsing Yi station. If Airport Express confirms that Hong Kong station will welcome passengers who have checked in their luggage in advance, no date has been given for the return to service of the other two stations.

In the first five months of the year, l'Hong Kong airport handled 13.2 million passengers and 96,410 flight movements.
