It is in New York, a business destination if ever there was one, that the IHG group has written a new page in its history. On 12 January, Hotel Indigo Lower East Side became the 3rd representative of the boutique hotel brand in the Big Apple. It is also - and above all - the 5,000th establishment of the InterContinental Hotels Group, within a network of some one hundred countries. Richard Solomons, CEO of IHG, describes it as "a major milestone in our history [which] demonstrates the validity of our long-term growth strategy, as well as the strength of our brands, focusing on distinct segments to meet a wide range of needs and opportunities". The hotel giant has no intention of stopping there, and will be continuing its expansion over the coming months. The French market will welcome several new arrivals: the Holiday Inn Express Rouen Sud hotel (2016), the Holiday Inn Express hotels in Lens and Bordeaux - Lormont (2018), and finally the Holiday Inn Thiais - Orly Airport hotel (2020).
