Having already appeared in Orlando and San José, and expected in January in Atlanta, with a hotel directly linked to one of the most important MICE venues in the United States, the Georgia World Congress Center, the brand has unveiled a new large-scale project at Indianapolis. Following the same model as in Atlanta, the future hotel will contribute to expansion of the convention centre of the city by 2026. " Signia by Hilton Indianapolis will help kick off new era for Downtown Indianapolis" said the city's mayor Joe Hogsett.
The city in the American Midwest is investing 710 million dollars to give the Indiana Convention Center almost 15,000 sq. metres of additional space, including a new 4,600 sq. metre ballroom. This will make it one of the ten largest in the United States among the ballrooms housed in a convention centre, which will enable the city to host two major conventions at the same time. Connected to the existing centre by an aerial footbridge spanning Capitol Avenue, these new spaces will be topped by a 40-storey tower, which will house the Signia hotel, the highest in the city.
The programme for this top-of-the-range establishment includes: 800 rooms with contemporary decorThe hotel will offer a wide range of facilities, including a large public area as a meeting place, a VIP lounge, Club Signia, a wellness spa and, to top it all off, a vast outdoor swimming pool overlooking the city and a plethora of restaurants. When it opens at the end of 2026, the hotel will offer seven different concepts, including a rooftop open-air bar, a speakeasy-style bar and a gourmet restaurant run by a renowned chef.
" The Signia by Hilton Indianapolis will reinforce the city's reputation as one of the premier destinations in the United States for sophisticated business, leisure and group travelers." said Teddy Berlin, Signia by Hilton brand manager. In addition to the convention centre's capacity, the hotel will have its own MICE space with flexible meeting and conference rooms equipped with the latest technology, plus creative programming for groups of all sizes.
