IWG has set itself an ambitious course, to say the least, by 2023 inaugurate a thousand new sites before the end of the year. This roadmap will prompt the leader in flexible workspaces to attack the French regions, to further strengthen its coverage of the country, particularly in areas where it does not yet have a presence.
The opening of the Regus Clermont-Ferrand just one month ago is part of this dynamic. Located in the Ilôt Pardieu, the 1,220 m² site boasts some 220 offices and four meeting rooms. On the occasion of the inauguration, Christophe Burckart, Managing Director of IWG France, warned: "I'm looking forward to working with you. This partnership will enable us to continue building our network in areas where we do not yet have a presence. Thanks to our franchise programme, we are in a position to support local business leaders who want to develop their territory and meet the growing demand for new, more flexible hybrid working solutions. ".
And IWG's regional expansion is gathering pace. It will be able to build on the agreement formalised on 16 March with Pierre 1er Gestion, which will lead to the opening of ten sites in the Greater West. These projects are due to come to fruition from 2023 onwards, with planned locations in Le Mans, Tours, Angers, Nantes, Vannes and the outskirts of Rennes in Saint-Grégoire and Pacé.
This week also saw IWG reach a new milestone as part of this ramp-up. The group has officially signed contracts for eight new sitesincluding five addresses Regus. The arrival of the brand in Brest in July, with a 930 m² site next to the commercial port and a 10-minute walk from the TGV station. Regus will also be taking over Dax for its first location in the Landes region. Expected to open in the third quarter of 2024, Regus Dax (745 m²) will be located next to the Bullring and the TGV station. Another new development announced this week by IWG is the arrival of a sixth coworking space in the Grand -Est region. And it's in Sierentz The new Regus address will open in September, in a strategic location for business travellers, halfway between theEuroairport Basel and the Mulhouse conurbation. The timetable set by IWG also includes a site in the Paris region: Serris. No fewer than 2,150 m² of workspace are expected to be available in the " one of the city's most beautiful buildings "This will start in July. The fifth Regus address is expected to open next autumn in Roubaix. It will benefit from the modernity of the Quatuor building, where three floors - and 1,500 m² - will be dedicated to IWG.
The Group's other area of regional development will be the HQ brand, with three representatives due to open in the coming months. The first will be in Carquefou next June (903 m²), then to Douai at the beginning of September (820 m²), and finally to Perpignanthis time in the summer of 2024.
