Business travellers who want to keep a youthful spirit will find a new base in Vienna with the new Jo&Joe. Accor has just deployed the fourth establishment of its a brand that revisits youth hostels as open houses. In other words, a contemporary place to live, with dormitories, of course, but also private rooms suitable for business travel and high-quality hotel accommodation, all complemented by particularly lively communal areas. " Jo&Joe is neither a classic hotel nor a youth hostel. It's a unique and new chapter in hospitality." explains François Leclerc, Vice-President of Operations for Jo&Joe.
Adjacent to the Westbahnhof, the rail hub linking the Austrian capital to Salzburg and Sankt Pölten, the Jo&Jo is part of the a building developed by Ikeathe first floors housing the Swedish brand's new flagship store in Vienna, in addition to four other outdoor shops at street level. Called 'Hus', this Greenpass Platinum-certified multifunctional venue has a sustainable dimension, with 160 trees integrated into its façade and solar panels on the roof.
Located on the 5th and 6th floors of the building, Jo&Joe Vienne takes advantage of this location to offer one of the city's largest rooftopscovering no less than 1,800 m2. In addition to its 360° view of the Austrian capital, travellers and locals alike will find plenty of dining options. And if the weather isn't cooperating, the 5th floor features a restaurant serving salads, burgers and pizzas, complemented by a dance floor, a large cinema and even a "Beer Wall" where travellers can chat while tapping their own beer.
Four street artists - Lady K, Reso, Dinho Bento and Skirl - have been involved in decorating the public areas and bedrooms. As well as 44 shared dormitories called "Togethers", Jo&Joe offers 33 "Yours" rooms for business travellers and all have private bathrooms.
Following on from Hossegor in 2017, Gentilly in the Paris suburbs in 2019 and Rue de Buzenval in inner Paris earlier this year, Jo&Joe will be continuing its international expansion as openings are planned in Venice, Rio and Medellin in the next six months, before Rome and Moscow next year.
