Korean Air has just announced that it will be returning to 50% of its pre-Covid international capacity at the beginning of September in response to the return of passenger demand. In Europe, the carrier plans to offer a network of eight destinations. Korean currently serves Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London Heathrow and Paris CDG. These will be joined by Barcelona, Milan-Malpensa, Rome-Fiumicino and Vienna. Prior to the pandemic, the airline also served Madrid, Prague, Zagreb and Zurich.
To European destinations already served, Korean Air to increase weekly flights from Paris CDG from 5 to 7 this monthhub of partner Air France. The carrier is also increasing its frequencies to Amsterdam and Frankfurt from 3 to 5 per week, also in July, Korean Air resumes flights to Milan and ViennaBoth cities are linked by three weekly frequencies to Seoul Incheon. At the beginning of September, it will be Barcelona and Rome's turn, again with three flights a week.
The lifting of restrictions on international travel in Korea is reflected bythe return of major routes to Korean Air's Seoul hub, particularly to Japan, one of the carrier's leading international markets. In July, Korean Air will be resuming services to Sapporo-Chitose (2 flights/week in July - one daily flight in August) and the island of Okinawa (3 flights/week). Korean is also resuming services to Bali this month with two flights a week.
