La 12e Volotea's new base in France will be Limoges airport. The low-cost airline made the decision on 28 January: it will base an Airbus A319 there from February. Volotea will operate this new public service delegation (DSP) from 19 February, when a new Limoges - Paris-Orly flight will be launched. The carrier will operate two flights a day from Monday to Friday, plus one on Sunday. In total, Volotea plans to offer some 190,000 seats on this route by March 2027. This is already an ambitious roadmap, given that the airline has never before served Limoges.

" The opening of this new base in Limoges marks a structuring step in Volotea's development in France, our largest market, following the announcement last December of the establishment of a base in Montpellier. "says Volotea's founder and CEO himself, Carlos Muñoz.

" For the first time, we are establishing a long-term presence in this region, with the ambition of fully exploiting its connectivity potential. The launch of the Limoges - Paris-Orly route is a concrete illustration of this ambition, linking the region to the capital and to one of the main national hubs. This project reflects our commitment to contributing, from day one, to the attractiveness of Limoges and its region, by facilitating travel, supporting the local economy and creating jobs. With this new base, Volotea is strengthening its long-term strategy to serve the regions and their inhabitants, consolidating its position on the French market and its role as a local player. "continues Carlos Muñoz.
