London, European leader in MICE according to Cvent

London had already won the 1st Cvent ranking dedicated to Europe
Amsterdam takes 3rd place in this Cvent ranking dedicated to European MICE, to the detriment of Paris

London, Barcelona, Amsterdam: that's the trifecta, in order, of Cvent's 2016 rankings. Top 25 Meeting Destinations in Europe" . The British and Catalan capitals already occupied the top two places in the previous ranking, published last year.

"This is fantastic news for London".says Tracy Halliwell MBE, Director of Business Tourism and Major Events at London & Partners. "The city has become a very popular destination for the meetings & events sector, thanks both to its hotel and events infrastructure, and to its expertise in sectors such as finance, technology and life sciences (...). We are confident that the capital will remain even more attractive as major projects - notably in transport - will make it easier to get around, and the hotel offer will increase significantly over the coming years." she warns.

In fourth place, Paris falls off the podium in favour of the Dutch capital, but ahead of Berlin, Rome and Frankfurt. To compile this ranking - the second devoted to the EMEA market - the MICE technology specialist based itself on a panel of meetings spend estimated at some 9.8 billion dollars, over the period from 1 January to 31 December 2015, in no fewer than 2,500 destinations. The Cvent ranking for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market is dominated by Singapore, ahead of Sydney and Kuala Lumpur.
