London City: the new terminal is unveiled

In 2022, London City Airport will open a new terminal to welcome business travellers in a 51,000 m² space. The first images of the project have just been published.

The new terminal project is taking shape at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. London CityThe new airport is particularly well suited to business travellers, thanks to its strategic location close to the city centre and the City. The managers of the London hub have just unveiled the first computer-generated images of the various areas - check-in, security, baggage, lounges - which will occupy an area of 51 000 m².

Inaugurated in 1987, the existing structure was designed to handle 1 million passengers a year. Airport management now intends to exceed the 5 million passengers in 2019.

The new terminal project is part of a wider development programme, estimated to cost 500 million pounds552 million, launched in 2017.
