The Lufthansa group boosts its subsidiary Lufthansa City Airlines from the Munich. The airline is marketed under the IATA code VL. If it weren't for the "City" logo next to the Lufthansa logo on the body of the aircraft, the product is in fact not very different from the "classic" Lufthansa product for passengers.
But for Lufthansa, the subsidiary has lower operating costs, with lower salaries than at the parent company. And above all a homogeneous fleet, made up entirely of Airbus A319s, A320s and A320neos.
Prices generally similar to those of Lufthansa

The summer 2025 season will see the addition of six new destinations from Munich. This includes a daily flight to Paris CDG. This service will be operated every day in the middle of the day with an Airbus A320neo.
However, if the operating cost is lower for Lufthansa, the price of a single ticket will not differ much from that of a Lufthansa flight for the passenger. For example, a Lufthansa City flight from Munich to Paris on 20 May will cost €216.64 (as at 02/03/25). Exactly the same price as a 'classic' Lufthansa flight!
Other new Lufthansa City Airlines destinations include Barcelona, Dublin, Oulu, Rome-Fiumicino and Seville. It should be noted that the company continues to serve the Bordeaux-Munich route. In total, Lufthansa City Airlines to serve 17 destinations from Munich. These include flights to seven domestic routes (Berlin, Bremen, Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover and Münster.Osnabrück).
