Ethiopian Airlines will continue its development in France in 2026. The Ethiopian carrier will be serving Lyon airport. But with a stopover that will be one of the shortest that can be offered: a stop at Geneva.
The only real hub airline in sub-Saharan Africa, Ethiopian Airlines will be offering three flights a week from Lyon via Geneva to Addis Ababa from 2 July 2026.
Frequencies will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in both directions. The aircraft will leave the Ethiopian capital at 0.10am to land in Lyon at 8.15am after an hour's stopover in Geneva. On the return journey from Lyon, the aircraft will take off at 7.20pm to land at Addis Ababa at 4.55am. The aircraft used on the route will be an Airbus A350. In the Ethiopian capital, passengers will be able to connect to more than 65 African destinations.

In France, Ethiopian also operates flights from Paris CDG and Marseille.
