Marriott on course to reach 1,000 hotels in Asia-Pacific

Marriott International is set to strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, with around a hundred new hotels scheduled to open this year. This expansion should take the number of hotels in the region to over 1,000 by the end of 2022.

With the announced opening of around 100 hotels in 2022 in Asia-Pacific, Marriott International is fast approaching the 1,000 establishments in the region. The American group expects to pass this milestone by the end of the year. Unsurprisingly, the Greater China region remains the driving force behind the American group's growth in Asia-Pacific, accounting for more than half of the luxury hotel openings planned for 2022.
