Marriott now has almost half of its hotels open in Europe. Whereas in France, business resumed on 2 JuneWith the relaunch in Paris of the Courtyard Gare de Lyon, Renaissance République and AC by Marriott Porte Maillot, Marriott now has a large number of establishments open in many business cities, including Munich, Berlin and Hamburg in Germany, Brussels in Belgium, Amsterdam and Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and Geneva and Zurich in Switzerland.
With the summer holidays approaching, other hotels are reopening their doors at the beginning of July, including the group's palaces in Florence, Venice and Seville, and the resorts in Marbella and Mallorca. On the business destinationsThe Sheraton Zürich has been welcoming guests since 1 July and the Courtyard by Marriott Munich City Centre resumed operations on 6 July.
Spain is also back on track. The group's hotels in Madrid and Barcelona have also resumed or will resume operations this month, with the Aloft Madrid Gran Vía and Cotton House Hotel (Autograph Collection) in Barcelona, both open since 1 July. The W Barcelona will follow on 9 July and the Hotel Arts on 15 July.
These reopenings are governed by strict health measuresbut also by promotions. Until the end of September, members of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme will benefit from reduced rates and complimentary breakfasts, while guests of the St. Regis, Luxury Collection, Ritz-Carlton and Edition luxury hotels will enjoy free upgrades.
