Building on its expertise in new technologies, which has resulted in the installation of some fifty immersive rooms for prestigious clients such as Renault, the French Air Force and Eurocopter, Immersion is now tackling the world of Meetings. After five years' work, the Meetiiim interactive table developed by the Bordeaux-based company now offers a new approach to business meetings. With this new technological tool, participants can now connect their various mobile devices - PCs, Macs and other tablets - and then share, manipulate and use their working documents in a collaborative and fun way. With a simple gesture, the document slides from the personal tablet to the interactive table which, connected to the wi-fi, allows the project to evolve and then be presented dynamically. The Meetiiim table can also capture the data exchanged during the meeting, and keep a record of it in the tool's manager.

The aim is to make "passive meetings" a thing of the past, given that, according to a TNS Sofres survey, almost half of participants confessed to doing something else during their meetings. "We know that Meetiiim will revolutionise the codes and practices of meetings to improve decision-making", says Christophe Chartier, Chairman of Immersion, while at the same time offering reassurance: "revolution does not mean upheaval of habits. We intend to encourage interactivity, facilitate exchanges, reveal and capitalise on information, by relying on well-established technological habits such as touch".
The Meetiiim interactive table has been on sale since 14 November from Immersion at a price of 45,000 euros.
