In just over a month's time, on 14 June to be exact, Nantes will have never seemed so close to Brussels. That's when Brussels Airlines will begin operations to Loire Atlantique airport, with twelve flights a week. The Belgian airline will therefore be offering two daily flights, with the exception of weekends. Business travellers are particularly targeted by this new programme, which adds a 13th French destination to the Brussels Airlines network. The carrier is also looking beyond point-to-point traffic, and intends to carry passengers beyond the European capital, in particular to the many African destinations served by Brussels Airlines.
Richard Painvin, the airline's Commercial Director for Europe, is delighted with this launch: "Nantes, the gateway to the Greater West, represents a new asset for the growing Brussels Airlines network," he points out. "With this new Nantes/Brussels route, we will be offering comfortable daily flights to the capital of Europe, as well as bringing more choice and competition to the market with a total offer of 1,200 seats per week. This is all to the benefit of the consumer, the many businesses in this dynamic region, travel agents and local tour operators".
