Twelve years after the last court hearing, the new Radisson Blu Nantes hotel welcomed its first guests at the end of November, in a building that until 2000 housed the city's courthouse. The premises, built in 1851, have since been refurbished by a team of specialists, including the architect Jacques Cholet and the interior designer Jean-Philippe Nuel, to enhance the building's heritage while providing modern comforts for the business clientele expected by the hotel's management. This ambitious project now gives the Radisson Blu Nantes 142 rooms, including forty business class rooms, fifteen junior rooms and five suites. The Salle d'Assise has been converted and now houses the eponymous L'Assise restaurant, while the hotel also boasts six meeting rooms, all equipped with giant screens and fibre-optic Internet connections.
