Navan has teamed up with Brex to combine the best of business travel and corporate cards, blending through the integrated BrexPay solution for Navan Brex's corporate card programme and its travel and expense management services. The scope of this partnership is primarily in the United States, where Brex has 25,000 corporate card customers, including Compass, Flexport and tech companies and start-ups such as Atari, Sonos and Scale AI, for whom " BrexPay for Navan represents the very best in integrated payments" according to Joshua Waldron, VP Finance and Accounting at this technology company.

However, while this solution is available to any company with an entity in the United States, it also affects Navan's US customers with a subsidiary in France or elsewhere. BrexPay for Navan is based on the possibility of issuing Mastercard cards in local currencies, including the euro, in more than 50 countries around the world, thereby limiting exchange and bank transfer costs. Here too, " customers benefit from limits 40 times higher than with traditional cards" said the press release.

In practice, users of BrexPay for Navan will be able to manage their travel and card programmes in the same place with the ability to easily send and manage Brex plastic cards directly from the Navan platform. At the same time, by combining Navan's travel and expense management services with Brex's corporate cards, the solution enables 100TP3T reconciliation of payments, with no time-consuming processes thanks to the automation of receipt entry and accounting processes.

By combining Brex's fast onboarding process, global accessibility and native financial tools with Navan's all-in-one corporate travel management solution, we provide customers with a travel and payment management experience that is second to none. capabilities that go beyond what has been available until now on the market" said Petro Franceschi, CEO of Brex. For his part, Ariel Cohen, CEO and co-founder of Navan, believes that with this joint solution, " modern companies with an international presence are able to concentrate fully on developing their business and make business travel a strategic growth driver" .

This merger builds on recent developments at both Navan and Brex, notably the launch last September of Brex EmbeddedNavan's Expense, an API that facilitates the integration of its payment offering with external partners, including Navan, Sabre and Coupa. For its part, Navan has extended the scope of its Expense solution by enabling companies to connect their corporate Visa or Mastercard cards to it via the Navan Connect. Launched in June 2023 in the United States, with Citi Commercial Bank cards among others, its scope was extended to Europe after the summer, with Navan announcing at the end of November that it would be available in a total of 250 banks worldwide.
