Carried out at the end of September among 1,000 American business travellers, the annual survey published by Deloitte shows that the willingness to travel for business reasons remains intact in 2012. In fact, 62.8% of the executives questioned expect to travel as much as in 2011. 22.1% of them even expect an increase in the number of trips they make. Of the 15.1% who expect a fall, six out of ten attribute this to the recession. In more detail, 28.8% think that the recession will have the effect of limiting the number of meetings held internally or with clients; 18.7% expect their company to have a more restrictive travel policy. Finally, 16% of them will make a personal effort to limit travel.
