The birth announcement is beginning to take shape for the new member of the Trigano family. A date and a location have been announced for the appearance of the first of its Oh Baby hotels: at the end of 2027 on the outskirts of Paris, near Porte de Saint-Ouen. Some fifteen years after raising one of the great hotel success stories, Mama Shelter, which has since been sold to the Accor group, the entrepreneur will soon see the start of a new variation on his sense of lifestyle hotels. With a brand that is more economical and eco-friendly, but with the same core team at the helm: his sons Benjamin and Jérémie and Philippe Starck for the design.
But the birth of Oh Baby doesn't seem to have been so easy. Almost two years ago to the day, in November 2023, Serge Trigano gave more details about the project in an interview with Le Figaro, suggesting that the first steps would be taken in late 2025 or early 2026. The project will therefore take place two years late, as part of the urban renewal of the town of Saint-Ouen.
Developer Constructa, mutual savings bank CARAC and hotel management company ATREAM, with the support of Banque des Territoires, have joined forces to bring to life this first project with sustainable ambitions, aiming for BREEAM Very Good certification. The first of the Oh Babies will offer 197 rooms spread over 9 floors, as well as several business areas, including a panoramic room on the roof terrace. Designed as a living space open to the city, the establishment will feature a restaurant on the ground floor and a bar with a view on the rooftop. The culinary offer will be overseen by a well-known name: Cyril Lignac.
From the first to the third age. Alongside Oh Baby, Serge Trigano is also working to bring lifestyle to senior residences with Casa Barbara. Launched in Nice, this concept offers residents a hotel-style retirement in suites and flats designed by decorator Sandra Benhamou, with pilates or dance classes and a café philo for physical and intellectual activity. And a signature for good food, with a menu created by Pierre Gagnaire. A real restaurant, open to the outside world, where residents mingle with the local clientele. Just like any self-respecting lifestyle hotel.
