L'Madrid-Barajas airport finally reopened all its terminals on 1 July. This measure concerned in particular the reactivation of the T2 and T3 terminals. However, travel within the terminals is subject to the health restrictions in force at the airport.

Access to terminals must be according to ground markings. Only employees and passengers with valid tickets or boarding passes, as well as those accompanying passengers requiring special assistance, are authorised to enter.

The airport also announces the reopening of its VIP lounges Plaza Mayor (T2) and Cibeles (T1). The platform indicates that the shuttle buses between the terminals now stop at each terminal.

The closure of the terminals allowed the authorities toimprove certain interior fittings. This included the renovation of floors and check-in counters. Some boarding lounges have also been enlarged and fitted with new aircraft access gangways.
