Radisson moves into the Porsche Design Tower in Stuttgart

The top-of-the-range Radisson Blu brand is taking up residence in the Porsche Design Tower in Stuttgart. At the same time, the Radisson Group has undergone other developments in Budapest and Helsinki.

After Miami, Stuttgart is the second city in the world to see a Porsche tower rise into the sky. A logical privilege for the birthplace of these top-of-the-range cars. Located to the north of the city, in Pragsattel, and linked to the business district of the Baden-Württemberg metropolis by numerous public transport links, the Porsche Design Tower Stuttgart not only houses offices and a new showroom for the Mercedes-Benz brand. The skyscraper, designed around sustainable standards - FSC-certified wood and low-emission building materials, 100 % renewable electricity, use of district heating, electric vehicle chargers - also houses a Radisson Blu hotel on its highest floors.

With photographs of legendary sports cars on the wall and a contemporary aesthetic combining walnut, black marble and concrete, the 168 rooms and suites - including Junior Suites with sofa beds - reflect the car brand's upmarket image. All offer panoramic views of their home town, as well as practical services such as smart TVs, USB charging ports and espresso machines in the superior room categories.

To enjoy the Stuttgart skyline, hotel guests can also take advantage of the rooftop terrace, complete with bar, while on the 10e On the first floor, the Balaustine restaurant offers Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine. But this panorama is also open to participants in corporate meetings and events. This opening in Stuttgart comes just after the unveiling of the first Radisson hotel in Hungary, in Budapest. The top-of-the-range brand completes the group's offer in the Hungarian capital, which already boasts a Radisson Blu, a Parl Plaza and a Park Inn, by setting up in the lively Ujbuda district. The new Radisson Budapest BudaPart is also geared towards business travellers, with five meeting rooms and a conference room for 228 participants. The upscale hotel also offers 198 rooms and suites, a Chinese cuisine restaurant, Shanghai Kitchen, and a rooftop bar with terrace.

At the end of October, the Group underwent another major development in a European capital with the opening of the Radisson RED Helsinki. The lifestyle brand is housed in a contemporary building in its own image, designed by the architectural firm Anttinen Oiva Arkkitehdit. Situated in the city's oldest park, Kaisaniemi Park, not far from Central Station, this 195-room and suite hotel features a contemporary design. the fundamentals of the RED brand with a playful design and an arty accent, including a 24-metre-high mobile work by Finnish artist Jenni Rope, Gust of Wind, suspended from the lobby ceiling. A lobby where guests can relax in the casual bar-restaurant RED Bar and Kitchen, extended in summer by a terrace overlooking the park.
