The Rosewood group is continuing its expansion in Europe with the announcement of a new address in Milan in 2025, the result of the metamorphosis of the former headquarters of the Banca Commerciale into a luxury hotel.

The Rosewood group seems to have found a providential windfall in transforming its European footprint. former headquarters of banking institutions into ultra-chic hotels. This summer, for example, the Asian hotelier has set up in Vienna in the walls of the Erste Bank, converted to exclusive hospitality. In the near future, the brand will also appear in Munich, in a building that once housed the Bavarian State Bank, and in Rome, with the ongoing transformation of the headquarters of the Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, on Via Veneto, into a palace with 157 rooms and suites.

Still in Italy - where, incidentally, Rosewood will be putting its mark on the prestigious Hôtel Bauer in Venice - the group will be offering a new address in Milan in 2025. Rosewood Milan will be taking over the Palazzo della Banca Commerciale. Built in the 19th century, this building which, as its name suggests, once housed Italy's commercial bank, will be joined by the neighbouring Palazzo Branca to form an ensemble of 70 bedrooms, including around 20 suites. Featuring a bar and restaurant opening onto a courtyard and garden, the future hotel will also house an Asaya wellness centre and an indoor swimming pool. Its design, by Parisian studio K.O., will blend classic details with modern touches to create a contemporary interior that revisits the heritage of historic Milan.

Located on the edge of the "Quadrilatero della Moda", Milan's fashion district, just a few steps from via MontenapoleoneThe Rosewood Milan is set to establish itself as a chic new address, very much in tune with the Italian metropolis. " With all its culture and vitality, Milan ticks all the boxes for a Rosewood urban location and will complement our portfolio of global fashion capitals where Rosewood has a presence, including our iconic properties in New York, Paris, London and London. (Editor's note: Hôtel de Crillon) and London" said Sonia Cheng, Managing Director of the Rosewood Group.
