Royal Air Maroc pulls out all the stops this summer

Royal Air Maroc is offering 6.2 million seats this summer with several new routes and capacity increases on most of its routes in Europe and Africa.

Royal Air Maroc expects an excellent summer season with the standardisation of travel conditions. The Moroccan national carrier has indicated that it supports " strong demand for its flights, in a buoyant environment marked by an good recovery in business and tourist travel" .

RAM's ramp-up over the summer means 6.2 million seats on offer towards some 90 destinations on four continents. The company is back almost 95% of its 2019 network. This increase in capacity is linked to the reopening of several routes that were closed during the Covid-19 crisis. And with the inauguration of routes to Luanda, Tel Aviv and Dubai.

Europe remains RAM's most important market with 2.3 million seats. This translates into 902 weekly flights linking 11 Moroccan airports to 34 European destinations. For this summer season, the carrier is offering two daily flights from Barcelona and Bologna, Brussels, MadridMalaga and Milan to Casablanca.

In France, Royal Air Maroc is present in 9 cities (Paris Orly and CDG, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg and Toulouse). This summer, the airline is keeping its CDG route to Marrakechserved three times a week.

More flights to northern Morocco

About Africaits second largest market, Royal Air Maroc is also strengthening its network with 26 routes offering a total of 901,800 seats.. In North America, the airline will offer almost 500,000 seats, i.e. 6% more than in summer 2019. Finally, in the Middle East, the airline is increasing its capacity by 25% with 200,000 seats during the summer season.

The company's priorities include improved air services to northern Morocco. Royal Air Maroc is thus strengthening its air links from Nador, Oujda and Tangiers. In particular, it is offering six new routes to Europe. Tangiers will benefit from frequencies to Barcelona, London and Madrid. There will also be a daily flight to Brussels (24/06 to 03/09). New routes also link Nador to Barcelona and Madrid and Oujda to Düsseldorf.
