And there are 30 of them: the Strategic Alliance of the National Convention Bureaux of Europe (SANCBE) has reached a new milestone with the addition of two new convention bureaus. Malta and Wales have joined the ranks of this structure, which was created in 2014 (and includes Atout France), and whose mission is to strengthen Europe's position as a leading destination for international business events. According to IPK World Travel Monitor data, Europe accounts for 47 % of all global business travel linked to MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Convention Events).

" Welcoming Malta and Wales is an important step in strengthening our Alliance as a truly pan-European network. "These are the words of Eric Bakermans and Matthias Schultze. The SANCBE co-presidents continue: " At a time when collaboration and common purpose across Europe matter more than ever, this expansion strengthens our collective ability to actively shape the future of the European meetings and events industry on the global stage. ".

To better structure the alliance in this context of increasing power, a new structure has been created. SANCBE has set up a coordination office. The aim is to support better alignment, faster decision-making and more effective project implementation across the network.
