Located in a non-Schengen zone, the new show Star Alliance at CDG 1 is a compendium of the best of what " Paris and France have a lot to offer in terms of comfort and above all the art of living, from design to gastronomy." underlined Star Alliance CEO Theo Panagiotulias. The first passengers discovered the new space on 13 October.
The 1,300 m² surface area can accommodate just over 300 passengers. in themed areas. A lounge for rest and relaxation, work areas, a garden, a dining room, a "wellness" bar serving teas and detox drinks, a wine bar, showers, a Guerlain treatment room (coming soon) - everything has been designed to offer premium passengers a real moment of relaxation. The whole area is bathed in natural light, with large bay windows overlooking the incessant ballet of aircraft on the ground.

The show is banking on elegant French touch in the choice of fabrics and furniture, as well as the photos and works of art that are the pride of Virginie Auriol, Star Alliance France Director. " The show took 8 months to complete, but we had been working on his concept for 5 years. The covid actually slowed it down. But the result is really superb" she describes.
The new exhibition, located in a non-Schengen area, confirms the strategic status of Paris for the alliancethe largest in terms of number of flights and airlines after Skyteam. " We have 20 airlines in Paris offering 464 weekly flights to 22 countries. Each of them made a pro rata contribution to the development of this trade show, which required a total of investment of 10 million euros" explains Theo Panagiotoulias.
This is the seventh Star Alliance lounge in the world. The other lounges are located at AmsterdamBuenos Aires, Los Angeles and Rio de Janeiro, Rome Fiumicino and Paris CDG (Intra-Schengen).
However, most Star passengers use the old lounge located before the Schengen traffic satellites.. This includes the 5 airlines in the Lufthansa Group as well as Aegean, LOT and SAS Scandinavian Airlines.
On the other hand, the new show will welcome premium and Star Alliance Gold passengers on Air China, ANA, Egyptair, Ethiopian Airlines, Eva Air, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways International, Turkish Airlines and United Airlines. Air Canada, on the other hand, operates from CDG 2B.
Improve the fluidity of the passenger experience

What areas is Star Alliance now working on? " We're working hard on the idea of a totally integrated, seamless travel experience.. I have a real passion for customer service. And that starts right from the booking stage right through to after-flight service management." continues Theo Panaglotoulias.
" It's a real challenge because harmonising all the services is very complex. We have already a programme of 60 service standardswhich our members must apply. But we want to do even better. We should make announcements to this effect in 2024. May our passengers remain attentive !" added the Star Alliance CEO.
