A new day of action is in prospect with the strike on 2 October. On the whole, French skies should escape the turbulence. The French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) has announced that it will apply the minimum service provisions to air navigation services at Paris Beauvais airport alone. A reduction in the flight schedule of 30% has been requested. However, the DGAC warns: " despite these preventive measures, disruption and delays are nevertheless expected at all French airports ".
On the railways, only minor disruption is expected on the following networks TER, RER, Transilien and Intercity trains. The TGV should be able to operate normally, according to the Ministry of Transport.
As for public transport, initial information from the Ministry indicates that traffic will be normal on the RATPexcept for RER B with near-normal traffic levels.
A MarseilleThe Régie des Transports Métropolitains (RTM) is forecasting a near-normal service with very little disruption. The metro will operate normally, the tramway at 90%, and the bus at 80%. However, a demonstration scheduled to start at 10.30am is likely to cause occasional disruption to bus and T3 tram traffic.
Same trend at Bordeaux The TBM network will operate normally, but there may be some disruption during the demonstration in the city centre.
