Last January, the SPL Occitanie Events was awarded the ISO 20121 at the end of a process launched two years earlier. The destination thus joined a growing club, alongside the Nantes and Saint-Nazaire Convention Bureauand Bordeaux Convention and Exhibition Centre or even Lille Grand Palais and Zénith de Lille. The club now welcomes a new member: Destination Angers has just received an award from Afnor.
" Overall, certification is an integral part of the way Destination Angers operates: in its purchasing, recruitment policies, service offerings and the involvement of the entire local event industry. It is particularly important for customers and event organisers, and is therefore essential if we are to compete in a highly competitive market and attract new events. " We worked with Destination Angers to manage and coordinate waste sorting at Sival (which brings together 700 exhibitors and 25,000 visitors over 3 days at the Parc des Expositions), setting up mini sorting units for waste from exhibition stands, raising awareness among all those involved in the show (exhibitors, restaurant owners, visitors) about waste reduction and sorting, and sorting all the waste bags. This waste has been recycled and areas for improvement have been identified for future years.
