As part of its expansion, the brand has just added Tbilisi to its list of destinations. The brand has already tried its hand in Liverpool, giving a new lease of life to the Northern Western Hall, one of Britain's oldest railway hotels. To make its debut in the Georgian capital, Radisson RED has just moved into a century-old building, the former post office.
Located on one of the city's main thoroughfares, Davit Aghmashenebeli Avenue, the building boasts an imposing façade decorated with wrought-iron balconies and modern black Crittal-style windows. Close to Tbilisi's main sights, the upmarket hotel offers business travellers 111 rooms, ranging from standard rooms to junior suites, as well as three meeting rooms for up to 70 people. For events, the hotel's courtyard, reflecting the local architecture, can accommodate up to 500 people.
When the weather's fine, the courtyard doubles as an open-air dining room. This same contemporary atmosphere will soon be deployed by Radisson RED in other business destinations, notably at the airport of London Gatwick. Already present at Heathrow, the lifestyle brand will soon be adding London's other major hub to its roster with a 185-room hotel. At the same time, from October this year, the brand will be setting up in the heart of Helsinki, close to Kaisaniemi Park. It will have 195 rooms, a restaurant, the RED Bar & Kitchen, and two small meeting rooms for around ten people.
