Air France and SNCF have just confirmed the launch of the "Train + Air" TGV service between Bordeaux Saint-Jean and Massy TGV stations. Massy TGV provides fast access to Bordeaux airport.Orly. The first TGV will start circulating on 15 Decemberdate of the second deconfinement phase. Passengers onAir France will leave Bordeaux for Massy TGV. Taxis to Orly airport will be waiting for them there. A transfer ofabout ten minutes.
There will be five daily departures from Bordeaux Saint-Jean and four daily trains from Massy TGV. The timetables will allow easy connections with Air France's overseas network at Orly. But also with the airline's other international routes.
Customers in Bordeaux will benefit from theall the advantages of the "Train + Air" product:
- a single end-to-end ticket with the guaranteed transfer to the next plane in the event of a missed connection or the next trainat no extra cost;
- a First Class travel on board the TGV for customers in the Air France Business or La Première cabins
- accumulation of Flying Blue miles and XP for the entire route, including the rail section.
A better offer in the long term
Air France and SNCF are currently working on rolling out the Train + Air product on other routes and improving the customer experience throughout the customer journey.
As Vincent Etchebehere, Air France's Director of Sustainable Development and New Mobilities, explains, " intermodality is at the heart of Air France's sustainable development roadmap. Air France is committed to reducing its CO2 emissions on the domestic network by 50% by 2024This includes the closure of routes from Orly for which a rail alternative is available in less than 2.5 hours. "

Some 160,000 customers use the "Train + Air" offer every year.
