In-flight entertainment is going tablet, with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 for American Airlines Premium and Business passengers. The device, which has a 25 cm screen, is designed to enhance the multimedia content offered to passengers, and has been available since yesterday on several of the American airline's routes: transcontinental domestic flights New York-Los Angeles, New York-San Francisco, Miami-San Francisco, and Miami-Los Angeles.
The Samsung tablet replaces the individual monitors traditionally offered on board the B767-200 and B767-300 aircraft.
