January 2012 saw the Air France-KLM group grow both in terms of passenger traffic (+3.7%) and load factor (+2.5 points to 81.6%). In total, 5.75 million passengers were carried by the group, which saw its business boosted by traffic increases in Europe (+8.1%) and the Americas (+8.3%). Conversely, Asia is marking time (-2.3%): a decline which Air France-KLM is linking to the Chinese New Year. Finally, Africa "continues its recovery" according to the group, which reports a 2.1% increase in traffic.
