For some time now, Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) report a deterioration in punctuality due to major construction work in France and Germany.

As a result, the companywho heads up the "Nightjets, has decided to temporarily suspend certain routes for a period extending from from 12 August to 27 October 2024.

And unfortunately, it will be France that pays the heaviest price. to this maintenance work. The lines affected by this two-and-a-half-month closure are Paris-Berlin, Paris-Vienna and Brussels-Berlin. However, these lines will resume from 28 October.

For travellers who still wish to travel by night train, ÖBB continues to operate the Vienna-Brussels route with 3 frequencies per week. The company also recommends using daytime trains, via Germany - Frankfurt or Munich.
