
The end of 2025 will see the integration of the first Boeing 787-9s at United Airlines. An opportunity for the company to unveil its Premium cabins with a fresh new design. Called United Elevated, the new concept is still based on a business cabin divided into two products: the United Polaris Studio suites and the classic United Polaris business class.
The new suites United Polaris Studio (in reality first class without the name) located in the first row of each business class section, offer eight fully reclining sleeper seats with direct aisle access.
They offer 25 % more space than standard Polaris seats and include private doors, an ottoman for a travel companion, exclusive menus including Ossetra caviar, comfort kits with luxury skincare products, a wireless phone charger, Bluetooth connectivity, as well as the latest technology.a 68.5 cm touch screen - the largest on an American company.
Complete overhaul
The seats United Polaris have also been redesigned. They look even more like mini-suites with sliding doors and individual 48 cm screens. The Boeing 787-9 offers 56 of these seats for sale.

As a result, the design of the Elevated cabin on the 787-9 has been completely reconfigured, with a bright atmosphere and the use of refined materials. It includes 99 seats in various premium classes- a record among US carriers.
This offer also includes 35 seats United Premium Plus. These now include a wireless charger. In the classroom United EconomyPassengers will be seated in armchairs with the individual screens considered to be the largest in economy class in the world. With a Bluetooth connection too.
More ambitious gastronomy
The company has also reviewed its on-board catering offer. More than $150 million has been invested. This translates into uself-service snack area in business class. As well as 'treats' reserved for passengers in the Polaris Studio, such as a service of Ossetra caviar accompanied by Champagne Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé. Light meals with a regional flavour are also available during the flight. United plans delivery of the first 787-9 equipped with the Elevated cabin by the end of 2025. The first commercial flights are expected in 2026 between San Francisco and Singaporeand between San Francisco and London. A total of 30 Boeing B787-9s will be equipped with the new premium cabin by 2027.
