Voco: soon a hotel in Beirut

IHG is set to strengthen its offering in Lebanon with the opening in Beirut, by the end of the year, of a hotel under the top-of-the-range Voco brand, adapted to meetings and events.

The IHG group will soon consolidate its position as leader in the hotel sector in Lebanon, with a total of just four hotels under the Crowne Plaza, Staybridge Suites and InterContinental brands. " Having opened our first hotel in the Middle East, the InterContinental Phoenicia, several decades ago, we are proud to continue to strengthen our presence in the country and bring new brands to this market" said Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, India, Middle East & Africa, IHG Hotels & Resorts.

The Group's expansion in Lebanon will involve setting up Voco in Beirut. Specialising in conversions, this top-of-the-range brand with a lifestyle spirit will be putting its name to an existing hotel currently being renovated by the end of the year. Located in one of the key districts of the Lebanese capital, close to the seafront and the upmarket restaurant area of Zaituna Bay, the future voco Beirut Central District will offer 123 rooms, but above all a wide range of services dedicated to business travellers.

The hotel will house a business centre and a number of spaces for professional meetings, including a theatre, a banquet hall and three meeting rooms. As for relaxation, the voco Beirut Central District will offer a fitness centre, spa and outdoor swimming pool and, what's more, an extensive F&B offer with three dining venues and a rooftop bar.

With this new hotel, the voco brand is continuing its growth in the world's major cities. Launched in 2018, it now has 46 hotels open and more than fifty others planned.
