It's now a well-oiled ritual in the French travel management ecosystem. On 4 September, on the occasion of the 9th At this year's Univ'AirPlus event, the AFTM presented the many guests with the latest edition of the White Paper produced by the specialists of the French association of travel managers. After a 2013 edition devoted to Mobility Management, the working group went back to the basics of business travel in France, focusing on the 164,000 SMEs and SMIs, plus no fewer than 4,600 intermediate-sized companies (ETI). Michel Dieleman, Chairman of the AFTM, emphasised at the time that this white paper was "part of the present moment", explaining that his aim was "to use our pilgrim's staff to evangelise the people in charge, who often lack the resources (...) in companies that are not necessarily aware of their legal obligations, particularly in terms of the safety of business travellers".
Available free of charge on the AFTM's dedicated website, this sixth White Paper is based on a survey of 76 small and medium-sized businesses, and is presented as "a real immersion into the heart of these companies, their challenges in terms of business travel, their organisation, the advantages and disadvantages of the different structures or models in place, not forgetting to explore the associated risks".
