From autumn onwards, business travellers passing through Paris for a while will be able to discover the innovative concept of the Zoku long-stay brand. Launched in 2016 in Amsterdam and this year in Copenhagen and Vienna, this brand of Dutch origin stands out for its loft-style studios with designer, modular furniture where the bed is placed in a mezzanine to give way to the main living and working space. In keeping with the times, these urban residences also feature lifestyle elements, with a lively bar and restaurant, a coworking space and an events venue, not forgetting the sure thing of the moment: a rooftop.
These are the fundamentals that Zoku will be deploying in Paris, as part of the Stream Building development programme. Located opposite Paris's new law courts, in the booming ZAC Clichy Batignolles district and at the foot of line 14, this mixed-use project is one of the winners of the Réinventer Paris competitionparticularly for its sustainable dimension. Developed by Covivio and Assurances du Crédit Mutuel, the complex designed by the architectural firm PCA-STREAM mixes wood and concrete, puts hops on its façade, adds a vegetable garden on the roof and installs photovoltaic panels, the Stream Building is aiming for environmental certifications.

This eight-storey urban development includes shops at the foot of the building, including a brasserie, 9600m² of offices and a Zoku hotel-residence of 109 "Loft" roomsThe hotel operator will also be in charge of the social areas on the top floor, including a restaurant and bar, a coworking space and a dedicated events area, all extended by a 190m² rooftop.
"Zoku stands out for its hybrid positioning between the hotel and the officeThis concept is totally consistent with the ambitions of Stream Building, which mixes uses and spaces."said Christophe Kullmann, Covivio's Chief Executive Officer. "Right from the start of the Réinventer Paris competition, Zoku was enthusiastic about the project: its mixed-use, 24/7 animation and sustainable wooden structure are perfectly in line with Zoku's core values."said Marc Jongerius, co-founder and Managing Director of Zoku. These are values that the brand intends to continue to propagate in the future. Paris as in other major European cities.
