
The figures unveiled on Monday by the Union of French Airports (UAF) confirmed the unprecedented nature of 2011 for the market: French airports recorded a significant increase in the number of passengers handled (+6.3%), taking them to a record performance. In all, some 163.6 million passengers used French airports during the year, with special mention for the Beauvais and Basel-Mulhouse hubs, which posted the biggest increases: 25.4% and 22.4% respectively.
