
2025 marks the fifth anniversary of the joint venture partnership (JV) of Air France and KLM with Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic. This alliance continues to redefine transatlantic travel with excellent connectivity and enhanced customer benefits.
It also means more frequencies and new destinations this summer. The four carriers are thus committed to maintaining fluid connectivity and a high quality of service for business travellers on both sides of the Atlantic.
This summer, Air France offers the largest ever flight schedule between its CDG hub and North America. 18 destinations are part of the programme, including Orlando from May 21. Special non-stop flights will also be operated between Nice and Los Angeles on the occasion of the Cannes Festival and the F1 Grand Prix in Monaco.
KLM inaugurates a new route Amsterdam-San Diego and is extending its route to Portland (Oregon), launched last winter. These flights have connections in Europe with three new destinations: Ljubljana (Slovenia), Exeter (UK) and Biarritz.
Delta Air Lines also offers the largest transatlantic flight schedule in its history. The airline links Europe to key hubs such as New York-JFK, Atlanta, Boston, Minneapolis-St. Paul and Detroit. With new routes departing from Catania (Sicily), Copenhagen, Naples, Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Dublin and Brussels, these are more than 700 weekly flightss on sale between the United States and 33 European destinations.
And finally.., Virgin Atlantic has extended its network to Canada this summer. The airline has launched a new daily transatlantic service between Toronto and London Heathrow airport. In addition, it is offering more capacity to New York and Orlando for summer 2025.
A seamless airport experience
At airports, the four carriers guarantee efficient and multiple check-in processes (online and self-service) as well as simplified boarding, thus reducing waiting times. For business passengers, they offer lounges at most major airports.
Air France continues to invest in enhancing the airport experience with improvements to its lounge offering. Last year, the company inaugurated its new lounge at Los Angelesin the Tom Bradley terminal, with a spa and bistro-style restaurants. At the same time, it has launched a dedicated route and areas for La Première passengers at CDG. Finally, Air France recently unveiled a completely redesigned lounge in terminal 2E, hall K at Paris-CDG.
KLM has also refurbished its Schengen Crown lounge at Amsterdam-Schiphol with an elegant design, a Dutch-inspired kitchen and a shower area.

For the Delta Sky Club product, 2024 saw the opening of Delta One lounges in New York-JFK, Los Angeles and Bostonand a Sky Club at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport. The company has also expanded the Miami and New York-LaGuardia clubs. By 2025, Delta has just inaugurated its 8th Delta Sky Club at its Atlanta hub -Concourse D. The company is also completing the renovation of its clubs on Piers A and C, also in Atlanta.
As for Virgin Atlantic, it inaugurated its iconic Clubhouse at Los Angeles International Airport. The Clubhouse offers everything that makes Virgin Atlantic so special: a large bar, a space for socialising with dining options, personalised areas for working, dining or relaxing, as well as a VIP cabin dubbed 'The Royal Box'.
Renewal of on-board products
Following the revamp of its Business and Premium classes, Air France unveiled this spring the 2025 version of La Première. This is (and will be) offered in the United States - in particular to New York-JFK, Washington, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami. The redesigned Premium cabin offers more space and an improved catering service. In addition, the airline is introducing free ultra-high-speed Wi-Fi throughout its fleet in 2025.
Visit KLM World Business ClassIn addition, customers benefit from the added comfort of fully reclining seats. All Boeing 777 World Business seats are also equipped with suite doors. KLM recently finalised the introduction of the Premium Comfort Class on its Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 aircraft. These are the biggest cabin upgrade in years.
Delta offers a top-of-the-range experience with its product Delta Onewith 180° reclining seats complemented by excellent bedding. This class includes new toiletries designed by Missoni and a four-course meal concocted by a chef. The product Delta Premium Select offers extra space with wider seats, better reclining and improved service. All international flights have a Fast, free Wi-Fi.

La Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class is similar to a suite. In fact, it has sofa beds. The cab features the Loft, a convivial space with a bar. As well as four-course menus, Upper Class passengers can enjoy snacks on request and a luxurious breakfast in bed for night flights. Premium class features extra-wide seats, extra legroom and a special menu.
This joint ventureA first-class product and frequency range, should show its resilience in the face of economic and political storm blowing across the North Atlantic since the arrival of the Trump administration. It has every chance of growing stronger with the potential arrival of SAS Scandinavian Airlines in the near future.
