Hilton expands its brand offering in Paris with its first hotel Canopy, a lifestyle brand which now has around thirty hotels worldwide. This move comes ahead of the arrival in the summer of another of the American group's brands, the Tapestry by Hilton collectionwith the opening of the Belgrand Hôtel Paris Champs Elysées and the Hôtel Camille Paris Gare de Lyon. " We are delighted to open three new hotels in Paris" said Simon Vincent, Executive Vice President, EMEA for the American group. These openings are part of the group's ambition toadd 25 hotels in France in the next three to five years.
To make its debut in the capital, Canopy has found a prime location, with view of the Eiffel TowerThe hotel is located at 16, avenue d'Eylau in the very chic 16th arrondissement. Housed in a 1930s building with an industrial past, the Canopy Paris Trocadero features an interior design in line with the history of the place, which guests can appreciate in the 123 rooms or the vast lobby named Canopy Central, one of the lifestyle brand's main themes.
In this living space, travellers can relax and hold informal meetings, as well as enjoying a range of meals, including an artisanal breakfast, snacks and, at aperitif time, a selection of free daily tastings wines, spirits and craft brews from local producers. The hotel also offers a restaurant, l'Esprit Nouveau, with a menu of classic French dishes. Jet-lagged business travellers can also take away meals or have them delivered straight to their room door. But the Canopy Paris Trocadero is best known for its panoramic rooftop bar, where cocktails and platters can be shared against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower.
For business travellers, the hotel also has a 121 m2 event space dedicated to both meetings and cocktails, with four meeting rooms for up to 123 people. Other hotel facilities include complimentary bicycles, Nespresso machines in all rooms and a fitness centre open 24 hours a day.
After Paris, Canopy will continue its booming in Europe's major cities with a hotel in London's Spitalfields district and another in Madrid's Azca business district. Both are due to open in September. Launched by Hilton in 2014, the lifestyle brand already has around thirty hotels worldwide, most of them in the United States. It already had a presence in Europe in Zagreb and Reykjavik. Other developments are on the agenda for the coming yearsThese include Boston, Bangkok, Chicago, Kuala Lumpur and Cape Town, as well as Bordeaux and Paris, in the Latin Quarter.
