It's worth noting that the rankings are quite different for the US market. American travellers favoured Uber, Lyft and the airline and hotel booking tool Hopper, while when it came to accommodation Airbnb (4th) was once again ranked ahead of Booking (5th). Two airlines also made it into the US top 10 published by Apptopia.

In the field of business applications, Apptopia confirms, if confirmation were needed, the advent of Zoom, which dominates both the US and global rankings. Overall, the video-conferencing tool is ahead of Google Meet and WhatsApp Business. Microsoft's mobile solution Teams came 4th, with Webex Meetings in 9th place.
