Cathay Pacific to merge all its loyalty programmes

According to Australian premium website Executive Traveller, Cathay Pacific is to merge its two frequent flyer programmes, Marco Polo Club and Asia Miles, under a new name, "Cathay". The transformation is scheduled for next July.

According to Executive Traveller, the streamlining of Cathay Pacific's two loyalty programmes will take effect in July and will mean the disappearance of the Marco Polo Club brand. "Cathay" will be the new name behind the carrier's frequent flyer programme.

The company told the Australian site that thehe separate Asia Miles and Marco Polo Club programmes will be brought together under a single Cathay. This will have its own website. It will allow members to connect directly without going through the airline's website.
