
One of the world's largest hotel franchisors, along with its American counterpart Choice, the Wyndham group will continue its international expansion with a wide range of openings planned for 2022 across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. With almost 9,000 hotels in some 100 countries worldwide, the hotel operator is known for its eponymous Wyndham brand, the Tryp and Ramada chains and Dolce, which focuses on MICE.
In 2021, the American group had already recorded the opening of almost 300 establishments in Europe. Business destinations include two Dolce hotels in Denmark, in Copenhagen and Odense, in parallel with the launch of its Trademark CollectionThe Ramada brand has also expanded its presence in Eastern Europe with new hotels in Tbilisi, Georgia, and Targu Jiu, Romania. Among its 18 new openings, the Ramada brand has also extended its footprint in Eastern Europe with new hotels in Tbilisi, Georgia, and Targu Jiu, Romania.
At the same time, the American group has its Turkey's largest international hotel operator with a portfolio approaching 100 hotels in the country, including new Days Inn hotels in Istanbul and Ankara, marking the country debut of this budget brand. In the Middle East, Wyndham took advantage of the World Expo in Dubai to launch two of its brands in this market - La Quinta and Days Inn - while adding Howard Johnson and Ramada hotels.

However, the group is also looking ahead and is expecting a number of new hotels to open in 2022. In April, the top-of-the-range Wyndham brand will, for example his arrival in PolandWyndham Garden Munich Messe, in the heart of the historic city of Wroclaw, with a 205-room hotel featuring 11 meeting rooms that can accommodate more than 400 people. In Germany, in addition to the recent opening of the Wyndham Garden Munich Messe, in a business district close to the International Congress Center, Wyndham will continue to grow its Super 8 economy brand.
Other Wyndham hotels have been announced for this year, notably in Nicosia with a hotel located in the main square of the Cypriot capital with conference facilities, or in the business district of West Bay in Doha, with a 278-room business hotel. At the same time, the American group will be strengthening its position of choice in Turkey with Ramada, Ramada Encore and Days Inn by Wyndham establishments expected in Istanbul, Rize and Elbistan, while continuing its expansion in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Georgia.
