
The Hyatt Group is going to give a real boost to its JdV brand in Europe. Expected to open in Bordeaux at the end of the year, this lifestyle brand, which advocates "Joie de Vivre" - hence JdV - has only relatively recently appeared on the continent. So far, it has opened one hotel in Rome and three others in Sweden, in Stockholm and Malmö. a great leap forward in Germany with the addition of almost 5,500 rooms to its network. Hyatt has announced a strategic agreement with the Lindner Hotels group to integrate the thirty or so hotels owned by the German hotelier into its portfolio.
Many of these establishments will be added to the JdV brand, in particular the urban boutique hotels that Lindner has developed under the Me and All Hotels brand, present in Düsseldorf, Hanover, Kiel, Mainz and Ulm. " As part of the JdV by Hyatt brand, Lindner remains a strong brand with its own corporate identity and independence, now backed by the strength of the Hyatt brand's global reputation and world-class sales and marketing capabilities" said Arno Schwalie, Managing Director of Lindner. " The addition of Lindner's hotel portfolio will significantly expand the Hyatt brand footprint in Germany and enable our customers, and ultimately our World of Hyatt members, to discover new destinations in Europe, including Kiel, Leipzig, Sylt, Bratislava and Interlaken." said a delighted Mark Hoplamazian, CEO of Hyatt.
Although Lindner has hotels in seven countries, including one in Antwerp near the World Trade Centre, the group's offer is concentrated mainly in Germany. With, in its portfolio, numerous business hotels such as the Lindner Congress Hotels in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Cottbus and at the Nürburgring, or the Lindner Hotel at Düsseldorf airport.
