For many travellers, especially business travellers, this service can mean the difference between having to worry about your luggage and having the freedom to move around the city before catching your flight. couldn't be more practical. Since 5 June, the Accor group has been working with start-up Alltheway to make it possible for passengers to check in their luggage directly at several of the group's hotels in Paris and have it picked up from the hotel, all the way to their destination airport.

Alltheway has eight hubs in Paris where passengers can check in their baggage, which is then taken to Paris-CDG airport. It is then registered at the company counter by the start-up, according to a safety system validated by the DGAC (Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile).

Among these registration hubs, prime transit points for business travellers with four Accor hotels - the Novotel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel and Paris Est, and the Pullman Paris Montparnasse and Paris Bercy - as well as four ViParis event hubs: Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and the Palais des Congrès intra muros, as well as the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte and Le Bourget. If they unpack their bags at any of these locations, travellers will still be able to track their progress throughout their journey, in real time, using the Alltheway application.

"We are very excited to be working with Alltheway to set up this new service." says Damien Perrot, Director of Design & Innovation for the Accor Group's Premium, Midscale & Economy brands. What's more, this service can be offered at major upcoming events in Paris, the Rugby World Cup next September, and then the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.

In the longer term, Accor will also be supporting Alltheway in its international developmentexpected from the end of next year. All the more so as the hotel group, together with Deniz Karaoba, a business angel specialising in airport operations, has taken part in raising €1 million to support the start-up's development. Founded in 2022, Alltheway has also recently been supported by the RATP's accelerator, since this solution means that busy travellers no longer have to take taxis, preferring to use public transport instead.

Accor, ViParis and RATP are not the only ones interested in Alltheway's services. In fact, they are, Air France is announcing on its booking site that from 12 June, from 30 hours and up to 4 hours before their flight from Paris Charles de Gaulle to all destinations except the United States and Israel, travellers will also be able to take advantage of the start-up's service. The cost is 25 euros for the first bag and 10 euros for each additional bag. The airline is already talking about a possible development of this service: home baggage collection and delivery.
