Iberia continues to work on improving the customer experience on board its flights. It concerns all cabins: Business, Premium Economy and Economy. These improvements include the redesign of menus, services on long-haul flights and a new personalised digital experience.
Iberia has redesigned its in-flight meals worldwide with the help of its catering supplier Do & Co. The Austrian company, renowned for the quality of its in-flight culinary offer, has worked to improve the menus in all cabins. With a special focus on Spanish cuisine and products.
Iberia offers the following classes Economy and Premium Economy long-haul flights, its 'movie snack'. On flights of less than 10 and a half hours from MadridOn return flights, an ice cream is offered, while a biscuit is available for nibbling during a film. For flights over 10 hours, a tapas service is available. This includes a selection of cold meats, breadsticks and olives (a vegetarian version is also available). On the return journey, customers will be served sandwiches and, on night flights, crackers and biscuits.
Visit Business classIberia now offers wellness snacks including fruit and healthier sandwiches. The culinary palette before landing has been improved. Depending on the arrival time of the flight, it includes hot and cold sweet and savoury dishes, in addition to Iberia's signature breakfast omelette.
Gastrobar catering, Iberia has extended its range of products with a new selection including Starbucks coffee and Tetera Azul teas. Iberia will also make it possible to order drinks and snacks online with the Gastrobar@seat service. Customers can use their mobile phone by logging on to shop.iberia.com.
Iberia aims to reduce the amount of plastic on board by 200 tonnes this year. This initiative focuses in particular on the replacement of on-board catering equipment. The company is using more environmentally-friendly materials, such as bamboo and paper.
Reducing the use of single-use plastics during flights is a priority.. That's why customers who bring their own cup will receive a discount on their coffee or tea order from the Gastrobar service.
For a more personalised on-board service, Iberia has launched a digital application offering direct access to a wide range of services. Passengers can find out more about the meals and Gastrobar services on offer, as well as the entertainment. They can also download the digital press and buy Internet packages. The application also lets you manage your trip. Like consulting other flights or check the boarding gate for a connection and manage reservations.
In the coming months, Iberia customers will also be able to track their baggage in real time and pre-select their meal in Business class.
